The hotel's suite door closed with a click.
Scott tossed his suit jacket onto the sofa and placed his phone on the coffee table, then removed his wristwatch and placed it beside his phone. He then unbuttoned his collar and headed toward the bathroom.
However, just as he took two steps, his phone started ringing.
He halted and turned around, picking up his phone.
It was Dylan Quinn.
The familiar name flashed on the screen. Scott glanced at it but did not answer immediately.
After a few seconds, he checked the time on his phone before answering, "Hello."
His gaze lifted slightly, falling on the vast expanse outside the windows.
It was night. The entire city had quieted down, and only the lights were still shining brightly.
Dylan smiled when he heard the indifferent voice on the phone, and his eyes narrowed as he smiled too.
"Are you done with your work?"
