Naomi and Scott rarely ate their dinner this late, so the two of them were ravenous. The remainder of their meal soon arrived, and they dug in without exchanging another word. Although they were silent, neither of them were particularly bothered by it. Naomi rarely even conversed with Scott whenever they dined together, so this silence was nothing out of the ordinary. Not only that, but Scott still helped her refill her water and shared the rest of the appetizers with her. It was as though nothing wrong had happened. The two of them finished their meal in peace. Naomi wiped her mouth with a napkin, then glanced at her phone to check the time. Since both she and Scott were slow eaters, she expected it to be very late by now. It was 10 p.m. sharp. Naomi was rather surprised by this. It would be past 11 p.m. by the time they returned to the hotel and settled in. It would appear that she would go to bed late that night again.
