Her tone was filled with worry. Scott finally turned to look at her. "I don't know," he replied curtly. Naomi's jaw dropped. He did not know? What was the phone call about? Naomi did not know how to react to this. Scott did not utter another word outside of that sentence, so clearly it was Dylan who spent most of the time talking, and yet he claimed he did not know what happened to Belle? Naomi did not believe him at all, but from the look on his face, she could tell he was not lying. He did not need to lie to her. She pursed her lips and considered this for a moment, then finally took out her phone to send Belle a message. She saved Belle's number from the last time they met, and if anything, it was better to ask her directly. Scott stared at her. She did not question him any further despite not getting the answer she wanted and did not appear at all bothered. Instead, she was calm and collected. It was as though she knew she could take matters into her own hands.
