As she spoke, she picked up his shirt and helped him put it on.
Scott turned around and watched her as she buttoned up his shirt, then said, "I'm not going."
Naomi paused. "Not going?"
She looked at him. His tone sounded like a child sulking. It was like he was not going just because he did not want to.
"Yes."
Naomi studied his expression carefully, then asked, "Does it not hurt?"
"It doesn't hurt."
Naomi did not speak anymore.
With a bruise that large, there was no way it did not hurt.
