He seemed like he had something else to say. Scott gazed at the person in front of him. Her eyes were clear and calm now, no longer clouded with confusion or unease. "Kiss me," he said. Naomi froze. For a moment, the air in the closet felt still. She hesitated for a few seconds, watching his expression, then tiptoed and placed a soft kiss on his cheek. His eyes shifted slightly, and just as her lips left his skin, he said, "Alright, let's go." His arm fell around her waist, pulling her close. When Scott first asked for a kiss, Naomi's heart tensed, fearing he might try to take things further. It would not have been the first time. However, when she saw his expression, she felt certain he would not do anything more. So she kissed him, feeling at ease. And just as she had thought, he did not try anything else. "Okay," she said.
