Chapter 39 Buried

Nora was busy getting dinner ready in her quaint house. The front door bell rang and Nora rushed to get out. The woman was smart and cautious. She peeked out through the peephole to see who it was. When Lenora had first met Liam, she was quick to spill out her relationship details to her step mother. Of course, the woman had been rather uneasy with the idea. She knew what it was like to get entangled with the wrong man. Nothing good ever came out of it. She had first hand experience. It was worse for Lenora because this was no ordinary man. This was a Levine. When Nora saw her step daughter, she left out a long deep sigh of relief.  “No one can be trusted. What did he say? He might not be Ares but he’s a Levine nonetheless,” Nora prattled on as she opened the door and brought the young woman into a long hug.   Lenora had no intention of holding anything back and divulged everything that had happened. “Ares isn’t as smart as he thinks he is. He thought my children were
