Chapter76: Knowledge Is Power

*Rose* Something is bothering my men, but they don’t want to talk about it. Instead, they talk about silly things. They don’t even want to talk about the babies because they know how I feel about the fact that they won’t be mine for long. They also want me to stay in my room as much as possible, which is getting very boring. I would rather at least go out and walk in the garden or explore a bit in the forest, but they tend to think that, with Emily on the prowl, it’s best if I just stay inside. I’m feeling so bored, I am practically swinging from the rafters. Eli is in the room with me. It’s his turn to babysit. He’s sitting in the chair across from mine by the window, and we are both allegedly reading. He does look like he’s caught up in the book he’s holding. From the cover, it looks like he’s reading a story about wolf shifters who hunt down other mythical creatures, like vampires and fairies. I scoff. As if vampires and fairies really exist! “What?” Eli asks, ripping his eyes away
