Chapter Seventy Three: Catching Up On Old Times

The repetitive chime of the doorbell stirred me awake.
"Who's there?" I groaned, stretching awake.
My eyes were still closed, heavily lidded with sleep.
"Should I check?"
I heard a husky masculine voice ask, and my eyes opened in a flash.
"Morning," Trevor leaned closer to plant a kiss on the side of my mouth.
Right! We had spent the night together.
"I thought you would have left," I breathed weakly.
"Sorry to disappoint." He winked at me.
The sound of the doorbell interrupted my response to his words, and I slipped out of bed.
I tugged on my night dress sprawled on the floor along with his clothes and quickly draped it on, slipping in a rush into my slippers.
The doorbell was becoming more impatient this time.
Who on earth was behind that door?
I had a suspicion whom it could be, so I turned at the door, saying to Trevor, "Don't come out, please, till I see whomever it is off."
He sat languidly on the bed, throwing one powerful arm over his head, as he reclined
