Chapter Twenty Nine: End of The Road

I barged out of the police station, feeling pissed.
I had only wasted time and money by coming here.
I had trusted them, and they had let down my trust, as well as the respect I had for them.
The Lawrences had every sector in their control, I guessed. Even the police were under their influence.
"Not the media though."
I was willing to take this to the very end.
I might not be rich, but I had a few connections myself. I brought out my phone and texted my reporter friend.
Noah: Morning, Vicky. Are you available? Let's meet and talk.
I stared at the screen, waiting for her response, but she only replied five minutes later.
Vicky: Morning, Noah. What's it about? I'm curious to know.
I twitched my mouth. "You're curious to know if it's worth your time to meet with me?" I tsked.
Even my classmates looked down on me. Everyone looked down on me because I wasn't rich.
