Chapter One Hundred and Eight: The Misunderstanding

The doorbell chimed while I pulled out the dining chair to eat.
"What is it now?" I groaned in exasperation.
I expected her to have left by now. I didn't think she would still be hanging around.
That stupid home-breaker.
She didn't show up all the time that I had been womanizing around town and living a scandalous reputation.
She only knew to show up at a time that I finally found love and was pulling my life back together.
I had no business with her.
I sat on my chair, deciding that she would leave if I didn't meet her.
The doorbell rang again before it went silent.
"Good." I picked up my cutlery and began to eat.
My phone rang upon the second bite I had, and I reached out for it.
I checked the screen to see whom was calling before picking up the call.
I wasn't going to make the mistake of answering a call I would rather miss this time.
It was Celine, mercifully.
I wouldn't be surprised if it was Lizzy calling. She looked very desperate and shameless too.
