CHAPTER NINETEEN - THUNDERSTORMS AND BAD DECISIONS
Emma's fingers hovered over Diana's contact in her phone. She took a deep breath and pressed call. The line rang twice before Diana's warm voice answered.
"Emma, dear! What a lovely surprise."
Emma's voice wavered slightly. "Hi Diana. I hope I'm not catching you at a bad time."
"Not at all, sweetheart. Is everything alright? You sound a bit upset."
Emma sighed, sinking onto her bed. "It's... it's about Marcus. I'm struggling, Diana. I don't know what to do."
Diana's tone softened. "Oh, Emma. I can only imagine how difficult this must be for you. Would you like to talk about it?"
Emma nodded, forgetting Diana couldn't see her. "Yes, please. I... I need some advice. From someone who understands."
Diana hummed thoughtfully. "Well, you know Richard and I have been married for over 30 years. But it hasn't always been smooth sailing."
Emma's eyebrows raised. "Really? You two always seem so... perfect together."
Diana chuckled. "Oh, far from it, dear. We've had our share of challenge
