CHAPTER 29
The ride from my place to Connor's apartment was long and boring, with Jacob hardly sparing me a look and even when I remarked how nice the weather was today, he had not even perked his ears or responded with a cough. I snorted at him silently and allowed the boring air to persist. When we finally arrived at our destination, I was more than glad to finally breathe properly. He helped me with my luggage and escorted me into the apartment.
"Mr Meyers said to show you to your room." Jacob led me upstairs and down the hallway to a room which he unlocked and walked in with me. It was very much spacious from my room at my apartment and pretty basic which a large king-sized bed, a dresser and a large mirror. Its pale white walls were bare and the only thing decorating the room were two pots of plants resting by the large window.
Jacob gave a small curt nod and left, leaving me alone in the large room. I dropped my luggage by the side of the bed and paced around the room, hoping to catch on
