The air in the office was cold as my father, Jeremy, and I faced the notorious school proprietor. His sinister smile sent shivers down my spine. This was the person responsible for so much pain and suffering in our lives.

"I am not here for you yet, coward!" My father's response was firm, a reflection of determination that fueled him.
As the heat loomed, the door creaked open, revealing Douglas. His face, which I used to see as a calm one had now harbored what I could call a nostalgia of pain and anger. His voice cut through the room like a blade, "Did you kill my parents, Mr. Proprietor?"
The proprietor's expression shifted, caught off guard by the unexpected revelation. I stood frozen, my heart palpitating as the truth unraveled before me. Douglas had suffered a loss at the hands of this villain. The rage in his voice was evident.
