Chapter 9

　　Eugene shared the bed with her. She was slightly curled up in his arms sideways and his hand was stretched out to embrace her. 　　Selena couldn't believe the scene she was seeing, and without much thought, her body had already subconsciously left Eugene's space. 　　Still in shock, the first thought in her mind was that it was an impostor, and the second thought was that Eugene has finally lost his mind. 　　Eugene, who had been stared at for so long, woke up immediately. When Eugene came back, he saw Selena's laid-back appearance at home. Her legs were crossed on the sofa and her arms were hugging a solid-colored candy pillow. Seeing him barging in surprised her so much that the other person who saw her suddenly had the urge to tease her. 　　Eugene's expressionless face made it hard to see what he was thinking. Selena continued to look at him and found that he was carrying breakfast and other things in his hand. 　　For her who has known Eugene for two years already, today's Eugene has refreshed her view of the world. Now, when Eugene handed her breakfast, he said that it was for her and she accepted it calmly. 　　"Eat it," the man's voice didn't contain any emotion, but she somehow disillusioned herself into thinking that there was warmth behind his words. 　　Just as he asked her to eat breakfast, he did and said the exact same thing when he handed her a contraceptive pill next. The contrast of his actions and words at this moment made her heart feel like it had been immersed in cold water, and the pain was numbing. 　　"Eugene, I have already taken this medicine. I took it the very next day," she heard herself say almost indifferently. The breakfast she had just eaten suddenly became so bitter that she wanted to vomit it out. 　　"Oh, I have always believed in my own eyes. I have to see it for myself." 　　"Eugene, believe me, I already drank one. I bought it on the way back from Pei's house."
