At Clear River Town. After a sleepless night, Serene went back to work at the Resident Medical Center. She met Wilson at the medical center’s entrance. He was standing by his car, smoking. It seemed like he was waiting for her. She wanted to ignore him but he had already extinguished his cigarette butt and was striding his way toward her to block her. “What are you doing? You’re blocking my way.” He lowered his eyes to look at her, his voice sounding hoarse. “Why did you run away yesterday? I thought I asked you to wait for me?” Serene bit her lips and hung her head down. She did not have the courage to look him in the eyes as she was afraid she would not be able to hold herself back. “Why should I listen to you? We don’t have any sort of relationship anymore.” Wilson frowned, a trace of annoyance flashing across his eyes. He glanced at her workplace and said, “It’s fine if you want to throw a tantrum, but why did you quit the hospital? You won’t be able to apply the
