2 Marriage proposal
After the party was over, most of the guests went home while a few guests waited for the dinner. As Ava sat down at the dining room her eyes moved around to search for Liam. He was not in the dining room with them. Her heart calmed down a bit and she took the spoon to eat the food.
As she scooped some of the food inside her mouth, the urge to throw up overwhelmed her. She knew if she ate another spoon she might vomit there at the dining room so she stood up.
“Where are you going to, dear?” Mrs Susan asked.
“To the restroom. I need to use the restroom.” She said.
“Alright. I should call the butler to guide you there.” Susan said and dropped the glass she was holding.
Susan’s eyes moved around the dining room searching for the butler. She stood up from the chair and walked away to come back after some time with a furrowed brows.
“I can’t find him. I guess he’s busy right now.” Susan said.
“Just go upstairs to the end of the corridor, you will find the guest room at the end of the corridor.” Mrs Susan said.
“Alright.” Ava walked away quickly. She paused at the side of the room to take a deep breath before continuing walking. As she walked upstairs to the large corridor, her eyes looked around wondering the room Mrs Susan had told her to go.
Is it this room? Ava asked herself. With the sudden urge to vomit, she quickly opened the room door and walked inside the bathroom to throw up in the sink. She pushed her long sleeves up before turning the faucet on to wash the sink.
Once she was done, she splashed some cold water on her face. She remained standing for a while before removing the first three buttons of her gown to allow fresh air pass through there. She splashed more water on her face before looking through the mirror to see her amber eyes staring at her back.
She had pale white skin and long ginger hair. Her full lips were as pink as strawberry. She had long thin eyelash which enhanced her beauty more.
She wondered why her Aunt chose to marry her to that man. Someone who was pompous and rude in Ava’s eyes. She didn’t like him one bit and she wondered what she was going to do about the marriage.
Mrs Susan already had strong liking towards her and she didn’t want the friendship between her Aunt and the woman to fall. She didn’t want the debtors to embarrass her Aunt because they had borrowed huge money to bury her father.
Ava closed her eyes to take a deep breath and when she opened them, she shrieked in fear upon seeing the reflection of someone in the mirror.
“Ahh!” She screamed and quickly turned around in shock to see the man. He had a towel tied around his waist and his hair was dripping with water. His chest was bare and she gulped softly as her eyes traveled around his muscular chest.
There was a tattoo of python from his chest down to his abdomen. He was dangerously handsome right now and she gulped again.
When her eyes moved down, she quickly looked away as his member was softly poking out of the towel.
Who could have known that the room she had entered belongs to this man and not the guest room?
She was too pressed to do anything at that moment and just wanted to throw up the food she had eaten.
He was standing inches from her and was half naked. When she caught his eyes on her body, her eyes followed his movement just to see he was looking at her chest which was revealing part of her cleavage.
“AHH!” She screamed and pushed him towards the wall. When she pushed him, his hands went to hold her wrist and he pulled her closer to himself. Her heart began to beat so fast as she hadn’t come near any man like this before.
“What are you doing here?” Ava asked and she pulled herself away from him.
“You are asking me the wrong question, little child. I am the one who is supposed to ask.” He said in a calm voice.
“If you continue coming near me I would think you have developed feelings for me.” Liam said and her eyes widened.
She quickly moved her hands upward to button her gown. “Don’t stare!” She warned.
“You could have knocked on the door first. You knew I was in here but you still came in. So shameless! You came in here to see my nakedness and thank goodness my clothes wasn’t out.” She said.
“Why would your clothes be out when this isn’t your bathroom. Not even your house. You are the one who is shameless here.” He retorted in the same tone.
She wondered what would happen after their marriage. Was this man even aware that they would be getting married? No, she wasn’t going to get married to this shameless man.
“The door is transparent. You saw me in here but went ahead to open the door. To see my nakedness! You could have knocked and wait for me outside.” She glared at him.
“Let me tell you something.” Liam took a step forward and her heart flipped out of her chest. “Do you think I would benefit anything seeing your naked body? You are just a little child who just got into puberty and nothing. How old are you? Sixteen?”
Hearing him, her face morphed with anger. She wanted to hold his neck and squeeze life out of him. This man truly was a pervert! A bigger one!
“You!” She glared at him so hard.
“Get out now, people are going to think I am abusing you sexually. You are too young to be seeing any of these.” He said and Ava felt her anger reaching its patience. She could not control herself anymore.
“I am twenty one years old.” She gritted her teeth. She was more younger than her age like as if she was an eighteen years old.
“Now leave my room. Get out!” He said.
Just then, Ava heard footsteps and she turned around to see the butler standing in front of them.
“Mrs Susan request to see the both of you.” The butler said.
“Take this little child from here.” Liam said.
Ava glared at him once before walking out of the room. She followed the butler downstairs to see her Aunt who was now discussing with Mrs Susan.
“Where were you? I was worried that you have gone missing in the Mansion.” Jenna said and Ava couldn’t help but smile.
“Aunt Jenna I am not a child to get lost in this Mansion. I was only calming my nervous self.” She said.
“Sit down dear.” It was Mrs Susan who spoke and Ava snapped her head to the woman.
“I am sure you know why your Aunt brought you here?” Mrs Susan asked.
“Yes.” Ava could only nod her head but she was annoyed that she would be marrying that man. “She told me I would be getting married to your son, Liam.”
And just as he said those words, she heard footsteps and she turned around to see Liam walking towards them. When he sat down next to her, Ava cursed inwardly.
