Chapter 1175

I went back to where the rock was. When Zachary returned, about forty minutes had passed. I could tell his steps were heavy. He also moved slowly in the day. He had been pushing himself to his limits the whole time. I waited until he sat and asked, “Do you feel hungry?” It seemed like I always asked him the same question. Despite that, his answer had always been the same. “I’m not hungry. I’ll rest earlier tonight.” He must not have eaten, but he refused to eat my snacks. I understood him well and knew it was pointless to persuade him. I could only wait for tomorrow to come. Hopefully, we would meet someone tomorrow! Otherwise, both of us… A few minutes later, Zachary fell asleep in my embrace. After he slept, I ate a corn sausage and few pieces of biscuits to cushion my hunger. Before I slept, I checked the time on my wristwatch. I was not sure when Tucker would find us. Why was he so slow?! Zachary did not sleep well at midnight. I opened my eyes and heard him sleep talk.
