What good would denying do?
"Ms. Grant, the evidence is right there in front of us. We need to investigate this thoroughly, and I hope you won't make things more difficult. Owen was killed five days ago, and it just so happens that you returned to Tiston that same day.
"The media managed to snap pictures of you outside the Grant Group building," Connor said, brushing off Ella's denial.
Everything had been carefully orchestrated, right down to scheduling Owen's case for the exact day Ella returned to the city. It was a perfect setup, leaving no loopholes for her to slip through. No matter how much she denied it, the truth was already staring them in the face.
The evidence presented earlier had already solidified the case against her. All that was left was to take her into custody.
"But that's really not me! The scar on the person in the video doesn't match mine. It's longer and positioned differently. My scar starts above the corner of my eye, while hers starts lower down."
