A few hours before reaching a day that Elaine left with Mystro, Richard had not been able to get his mind of the fact that she was with him. She was lodging in his own house and he felt so uneasy about it that he couldn't sleep. It was 8:00pm in the night and Richard stood in front of the clock counting every second that passed. It was as if a century was passing along with the second hand of the clock. Every minute was killing him inside knowing that Elaine saw him as a monster and no longer as the husband she had thought him to be.
