Chapter 23 When You're Lying to Someone, Don't Assume They're an Idiot
They only finished their bath when it was past midnight.
Adeline had already become boneless by the time she lay down on the bed. Her eyelids were heavy and she couldn't muster the strength to open them.
Her creamy white skin was exposed and was marked by traces of varying depths.
The bed sank downward beside her from Christopher's weight as he sat down. His dark brown hair was still moist from the bath, and the bangs on his forehead cast a thin veil over his deeply set eyes.
Adeline noticed a trace of gentleness in him.
Christopher looked down at Adeline, who was half-asleep beside him. He could still taste the sweet smell of her shampoo in the air.
"Aren't you going to sleep?" Christopher asked in a low, seductive voice that was unique to him. "Or do you want a repeat?"
Adeline shifted her body closer to him and lightly shook her head. Her eyes sparkled under the light. "Christopher, you're so good-looking."
