"Why would that man like you?"
"He must think you're richer than him and has ulterior motives."

Natalie Silvestre rolled her eyes. Taking a deep breath, she asked patiently.
"Is this why you called me?"
Sor Egbert paused.
He could tell Natalie Silvestre was unhappy.
However, remembering his purpose, he continued with a patient, placating tone.
"Natalie, don't be angry. I know, the truth can be hard to hear."
"But we’ve been friends for so many years. I can't watch you fall into this trap."
