Chapter 119: Uncle
Jeremiah Kenneth spoke, then seemed to lose all his strength, leaning heavily against the chair with his eyes closed. Natalie Silvestre listened to his words, a spark of insight lighting up in her mind.
She glanced at Jeremiah and quickly changed the subject. "We're almost at my uncle and aunt's house."
"I haven't told you much about them yet."
Jeremiah opened his eyes and squeezed Natalie's hand tighter. "Tell me about them."
Natalie cleared her throat softly. "My uncle and my adoptive mother are siblings, and they're very close."
"Before I turned ten, my uncle was strongly against my adoptive mother raising me."
