Daphne knelt down to start cleaning up when a gust of wind suddenly brushed past her. A pair of feet appeared before her eyes.
"Are you hurt?"
The next thing she knew, she was being helped up.
When she saw Lester, the anger in her chest flared up at once. "Get lost. I don't need your fake concern."
Lester felt a sharp pain in his chest. "Daph, everything that happened today was my fault. It's all on me."
"Oh? You're already so eager to take the blame for your fiancée's actions? You two really are a loving pair, huh?"
Faced with Daphne's mockery, Lester felt even worse. "I'm sorry, Daph. I came too late. Did she hurt you?" He began checking her over.
Daphne cut him off immediately. "Why don't you go check on your fiancée instead? She was screaming that I was trying to kill her."
Just then, Emily—worried about leaving Lester alone with Daphne—came storming back in. Seeing Lester hold Daphne's hand tightly, she forgot all about her fear and pain, angrily marching over to separate
