What was going on? Why was that childish conversation in her dream almost identical to the words Lucas had said to her at the restaurant earlier that evening?
Or perhaps she had had this dream because of what he had said?
Thinking of this, Serenity could not help herself from frowning again, and the throbbing headache returned.
"What's wrong?" she heard Jackson ask her. "Are you feeling unwell?"
"No," she replied. "Just a headache."
He raised his hand and gently pressed his warm fingertips on her forehead and temples, massaging her. He used just the right amount of strength, and it really did soothe her a lot.
"Better now?" he asked.
"Yeah," she nodded. "I'm feeling a little better now."
"Maybe I should take you to the doctor for an examination tomorrow," he suggested, "just to find out what's been causing your headache."
"No, it's fine. I think I'm only having a headache because I had a weird dream after hearing what Lucas said to me this evening."
