Interrogation

There is something odd about that. A mother referring them to someone else to find answers? That's absurd. She wants to know what's behind that situation. Now the woman has lost her only child. The daughter is gone and she doesn't have any pleasant memories to look back to and remember the times she had with her daughter. She wished she grew up to know her mother. She was barely one when her mother died. She died from being crushed by a reckless driver. She believed the cock and bull story until a few years ago when she discovered a secret. She had decided to go into the military for that singular purpose. And now that is her primary duty. Joining the police force and working in the same team with other detectives is the secondary. Once she's gotten the answers that she seek, she would return to her job in New York City. Rebecca the maid in Kate Wilson's house needs to be interrogated. She knows something that would help them. She would invite her over for interrogation. Dare Wilson soon arrived home and alighted from his car. Several journalists came before him, giving their condolences and at the same time, trying to ask him a few questions. " Sir, any news about your daughter's murderers? Are you sure she was murdered or just assume that after finding her dead?…." Several questions were asked at the same time. Chief Dare Wilson doesn't know where to start answering the questions from. He waved at the journalists while his bodyguards made way for him to pass through the crowd into his Mansion. He met his wife who eagerly was waiting for him and he hugged her, tapping her back gently and consoling her. They've lost their daughter, how pathetic. He blinked his eyes several times and sniffled. He was feeling really hurt about the whole thing. " Her killers would be apprehended, that I promised you" Dare Wilson consoled his wife. Jordan went to get the autopsy result. He was told it would be ready in a couple of days. He informed the forestry department to make the outcome of the autopsy confidential. If family and friends want to know the content of the result, they should exercise a little more patient until the investigation is over. At the moment, everyone is a suspect. No information should be disclosed to anyone, if they persist, they should be referd to the police station. Jordan and Isabella proceeded to find Kitty Wilson's friend Amanda. Amanda was her friend way back from the University. They were first coursemates and later became friends. They were best of friends and even after their University education, they remained friends. They both proceeded for their postgraduate program and graduated a few months before Kitty's death. She knows a few things about Kitty Wilson. She didn't feel irritated by the presence of the detectives, she opened her doors and let them in. She offered to entertain them but the detectives smiled and appreciated her hospitality, but politely turned it down. "Thank you for letting us in despite you were not informed about our coming " Jordan said, giving a faint smile. "That's ok, you are welcome all the same" Amanda responded not angry at all. She sat down opposite the detectives with her legs crossed and her lips pouted. "I am detective Jordan and this is my colleague detective Isa. We are here to ask you a few questions about your late friend Kitty Wilson, I hope you don't mind?" Jordan asked and looked her straight in the eye. "It's ok, you can go ahead with your questions" Amanda asked, glanced at Jordan and then the detective Isa. "For how long have you known the deceased?" Jordan asked, staring at her firmly as if wanting to detect a lie in her answer. "It's been a few years now, back at the University. We were paired into a group of four with both of us as the female and two other guys. We worked together and when the assignment was over, we became interested in each other and became friends. Since then, we bonded and became best of friends and even got an award as best friends on campus on our graduation. That's hoe we remained till our postgraduate program and till her death.." Amanda explained briefly. When she mentioned Kitty's death, Amanda's eyes seemed to well up with tears and sniffle. Jordan was impressed with her direct answers. If plenty of her type was there, the investigation wouldn't take much time till they arrived at the answers they seek. "Thank you. Knowing what happened to Kitty, do you know if she had a fight, a quarrel or someone was after her" Jordan asked. Amanda was quiet for a while before she said "I don't know anyone. She's been a quiet and easy going one. I wonder why anyone would murder her.." Amanda responded. "Her relationship, does she have a boyfriend?"Isabella asked, taking over from Jordan. They are together in the assignment after all. " Yes, Collins Bruno is her boyfriend though it seemed as if they fell apart" Amanda answered. The two detectives exchange glances. Maybe they are heading somewhere already. Who knows when the green light would appear. "Do you by chance know why they fell apart?" Isa asked, trying to dig deeper and find answers to every 'why' "Isabella's quarrel and misunderstanding with Collins has not been something new. They've always being falling apart right from the University days and they will get reconciled again. But recently, I discovered the quarrel was hot and intensed that…(Amanda paused and squinted) I remember something now, Collins threatened to kill her" Amanda explained. "Kill her? Why would a guy threaten his girlfriend that way?" Jordan asked. He can't imagine him having a quarrel with Rachel and then threatening to kill her. Aren't they in love with each other? On what basis is their love founded? He loves Rachel down to his soul and expected that everyone loves their girlfriend like he loved his own. "I don't really know why. I tried intervening like before but Kitty told me to back out and stay completely out of whatever she doesn't invite me into. I was angry and told her I wasn't going to get involved with anything that has to do with her and Collins. And true to that, I didn't ask her about her issues with Collins and I didn't ask the other fellow too. But the day he threatened her, we were together and he almost hit her in the public.."Amanda explained. "Can you give us Collin's address?" Isa asked and Amanda nodded. She got a pen and wrote down an address on a piece of paper and included Collin's cell phone number. She would do all she can to see her friend's killers apprehended. If that's the last thing she can do for Kitty. She knows how important a rule Kitty had played in her life. Her death was like a blow in the chest to her. If Collins is the culprit, so let him face the law. He had threatened to kill Kitty and now she's dead, wouldn't he be the first suspect? " Thank you for your time and I hope if we call you anytime to clarify any issue, you wouldn't mind?" Jordan Requested. " Oh no, I will be more than willing to receive your calls" Amanda replied and smiled. The two detectives stood up and bade her a farewell. They left and slid into Jordan's car, driving at a high speed. "Have Collins Bruno brought for interrogation as soon as possible" Jordan ordered, throwing a brief glance at Isabella.
