Alex was targeting the Blakes for my sake? Just thinking about that filled me with a sense of absurdity. "That's exactly what's happening, Serena." Julian leaned forward abruptly, trying to reach out and grab my hand, but I avoided it. "My father has already looked into it. He's confirmed that Alex is targeting the Blakes. Other than you, I can't think of any other reason why he'd do that. Serena, I have no other options. Please help me. I'm begging you," Julian said with desperation. I observed the pitiful state he was in at that moment. Back when he toyed with me, he had acted so high and mighty. Now that I wanted nothing to do with him, he had changed completely. He looked so pitiful now. It was incredibly disgusting, both mentally and physically. "Why would Alex target the Blakes for my sake?" I looked at Julian.
