The Selorne campus of National Defense University was a classified site. Aside from the stationed troops dedicated to protecting the region, it also served as a training ground for elite personnel selected from various military districts. The campus was divided into two sections—one for the stationed troops on the outskirts of the city and another at the heart of the base for students. By late morning, the summer heat lingered, but the first signs of autumn's warmth had begun to set in. A group of students in military uniforms were undergoing drills under the scorching sun. Sweat soaked through their clothes, yet they stood tall and unwavering, their gazes fixed straight ahead with determination. As a cryptography major student at National Defense University, Iris was required to train both her mind and body. It had been two weeks since she arrived, and thanks to the training methods Marcus had taught her, she had managed to endure it despite her less-than-athletic physique. Besi
