Chapter 1946
On the day Charlie married Lyra, he was a nervous wreck.
Zion sat by his side and watched as Charlie kept messing up his tie over and over again.
Zion didn't lift his gaze, but Charlie muttered, "Were you this nervous on your wedding day too? Any wedding day survival tips? Damn it—why is this tie so impossible?"
Charlie was spiraling. Nothing had gone right since he started getting ready.
Zion, calm as ever, said, "I wasn't nearly as nervous as you."
"No way! You could tie a tie that day?" Charlie looked at him in disbelief.
Zion spoke unhurriedly, "That day... I walked out of the house in slippers. My driver only noticed when we were about to pick up Maeve."
Charlie was stunned. "And you say you weren't nervous?"
"Well, looking back now, I was probably slightly better off than you."
"Fuck this!" Charlie's expression darkened. "What do I do? How about you just tie it for me?"
"I don't have that kind of fetish."
"I—" Charlie almost swore out loud but managed to hold it in.
