Chapter 1939
"I didn't have lunch today," Sheldon said.
Seeing that Sheldon was eating with his head down, Maeve suddenly remembered—they had fought at noon today.
And Sheldon hadn't taken a single bite. For a teenage boy still growing, skipping lunch was kind of a big deal.
Kieran turned to the maid. "Prepare Levi's dinner. He'll be eating upstairs."
"Yes, Mr. Sheldon." The maid hurried off to get Levi's meal ready.
But just three minutes ago, Maeve had heard that neither of them were planning to eat dinner.
Something was definitely up.
Sensing the scent of drama in the air, Maeve slid up beside Kieran and whispered, "Kieran, did Levi and Sheldon get into a fight? Or did Sheldon piss Levi off?"
"What makes you think that way?" Kieran said.
"Oh, I don't know, maybe because they're both acting super weird today?"
She hadn't been allowed to see Levi earlier. Kieran had stopped her at the door, refusing to let her in.
Clearly, something had been going on that she wasn't supposed to hear.
