Chapter 1568
"Ms. Beckett, from now on, please keep your distance from me. Don't do anything that could make Maeve have the wrong idea," Zion said.
"No! Zion! How can you listen to her? It's wrong to let her walk all over you like this!" Madison's voice was filled with indignation.
She pointed an accusing finger at Maeve. "This woman keeps saying she doesn't want you near me, but we all know the truth! She's been out there, fooling around with other men these past few days!
"She's already betrayed her marriage, so why should you be the one to stay faithful? Someone like you should just divorce such an unfaithful woman!"
Madison's anger grew with each word, and her voice trembled furiously. She looked as though she wanted to tear Maeve's mask of hypocrisy off.
Maeve, however, found the situation almost amusing. How could someone be so naïve?
"You're right, Ms. Beckett. I feel the same way.
"I'm willing to divorce, but... Zion doesn't agree. Maybe you should try convincing him, Ms. Beckett."
