Time had flown by, and Tessa had changed in the half year since.
Her wardrobe, manners, and every gesture now spoke of a new poise and sophistication. Gone was the youthful softness from her face. In its place was a more mature, composed demeanor.
"Ms. Scott, Mr. Spencer," Tessa greeted while motioning for them to take their seats.
Maeve and Zion settled at the table, and Tessa said, "I know you've both been rushing to catch a flight, so I had breakfast prepared. Let's eat while we talk."
"Alright," Maeve replied.
Just then, a maid appeared from the upstairs hallway with a stack of papers.
"Ms. Swanson, here are the documents you requested."
Tessa nodded. She took the papers and passed them directly to Maeve.
"These are the files you asked for over the phone. I went through them myself and picked out the sections I thought you'd find useful."
