"Kieran, what are you up to?" Lyra asked as she walked over.
Her gaze landed on the bundle of scrolls in his arms—some large, some small, all covered in a thick layer of dust. They looked like relics from another time.
Kieran glanced at the scrolls and explained, "These are maps of the ancient city from decades ago.
"Mr. Hackett asked me to air them out to get rid of the musty smell, so I brought them down. I was planning to lay them out in the sun tomorrow morning."
"Maps of the ancient city?" Paul's eyes lit up with curiosity. "Can I see them?"
"Ugh, you're always sticking your nose into things!" Sabrina groaned. "They're filthy!"
