Chapter 1109
Zion's arm trembled from the intense pain. With a glance at his wound, he realized his blood had turned black.
"Zion, make sure your woman behaves well. If she keeps defying Joanna, I'll kill her," Hector said, his voice chillingly calm, as if the killing was second nature to him.
The poison had already started paralyzing Zion's nerves.
"Or, I could just finish you off now, then deal with Maeve and your friends. It'd make things much easier for me," Hector added.
At the mention of Maeve, Zion's eyes flashed with cold fury. He tried to push himself up, but the poison overwhelmed him, causing him to cough up blood.
Hector moved closer, the knife in his hand gleaming with deadly intent.
"Wait!" Liam's stern voice cut in.
With a frown, he uttered, "You said you wanted to talk to Zion, and I allowed it. But killing him here will cause problems for me."
