Levi suddenly lost his appetite. Setting his spoon down, he instructed, "Kieran, pack the food and bring it upstairs. It's too crowded here, and I can't eat like this."
"Yes, sir," Kieran replied.
Charlie was taken aback. "Wait, you're taking the food. What are we supposed to eat?"
"Didn't you and Lyra already have dinner at the Seasons Hotel? I doubt you're hungry for a second round," Levi replied.
At the mention of his date with Lyra, Charlie's face turned crimson. His embarrassment deepened since it had been pointed out in front of everyone. Flustered, he shot up from his seat like a kettle ready to boil over, and dashed upstairs.
Lyra, unfazed, whistled nonchalantly as she followed him upstairs, pretending nothing had happened.
Paul and Sabrina exchanged confused glances.
What was going on? Was there some kind of tension?
As Levi headed upstairs, Maeve sighed softly. It was clear things weren't going as smoothly as she'd hoped.
