Chapter 104
Sergio returned home early. When Allie saw Maeve, she happily approached her, "Madam, how was the gathering today?"
Gathering? Maeve glanced at Sergio, who was engrossed in reading the newspaper on the living room sofa. So, that's how he lied.
Maeve smiled and replied, "The gathering went smoothly, I suppose."
"It should have been Mr. Brooks who sent you back; it's not safe for you to be out this late," Allie remarked.
"It's fine, he let me use the car," Maeve said. Today, she left the mall by driving the car Sergio had used. The thought of Sergio having to take a taxi home made Maeve feel good as he always had a dedicated driver waiting for him.
" Allie, you can go home now if there's nothing else for you to do. We have some other issues tonight," Maeve said. Sergio glanced at Maeve, and the phrase "issues" suddenly took on a different meaning.
Allie cheerfully agreed, "Alright, alright, I'll tidy up and go. Mrs. Brooks Senior is also waiting for me to clean up her place."
