Chapter 2
The weather in City A was not good this year. It always rained.
Five years ago, when her family's company went bankrupt, she quickly dropped out of school and returned to City A. she tried to save the company, but she was only A seventeen year old girl. There was nothing Richard could do, let alone her.
The company went bankrupt and Richard had a car accident. It was a bolt from the blue. The first thing she saw every day in the past five years was the high medical fees of Richard.
Holding an umbrella, Simona walked on the road. When she thought of the bills sent by the hospital, a sense of powerlessness overwhelmed her like a heavy rain.
It rained heavily. She held an umbrella as if she didn't hold it. Her thin clothes were completely wet, and her shoes were also wet by the puddles.
She felt a little cold and couldn't help reaching out to wipe her arms, but it didn't bring much warmth.
There were few people on the road, and she didn't even have the money to take a bus.
More than 2000 a month, including all kinds of part-time jobs, she could only earn eight thousand a month.
The rent of more than 500 and her father's hospitalization expenses of more than 10000 a month had driven her into a corner.
The car screeched to a halt. Simona raised her head and only saw the white light of the car, which made her unable to open her eyes.
The car hit her waist hard. Although it slowed down, the inertia of that speed was enough to knock her to the ground.
The umbrella fell off her hand, and the rain wantonly eroded her whole body. She fell to the ground, and her hair was in a mess because of the rain. Her palm rubbed the ground with a burning pain.
Simona gritted her teeth and took a deep breath. When she raised her head and was about to say something, she saw a middle-aged man holding an umbrella and looking at her apologetically. "Miss, are you okay?"
He reached out his hand and tried to pull her up.
Simona moved a little and found that the pain on her waist was so obvious, but she was no longer the sentimental lady as she used to be. She could only grit her teeth and stand up following the hand that the man reached out.
"My waist seems to have been hit."
Her voice was very low. She knew that she was walking absentmindedly so that she was hit.
She didn't expect that he would pay a lot of money for it, although she recognized that it was the limited edition of Lexus this year.
She just wanted him to be kind and send her home.
"Do you need to go to the hospital, miss?"
The person on the other end of the line was nice and seemed to take all the responsibility.
She felt a pain in her waist and wanted to nod, but a deep male voice came from ahead of her, "Herbert, is it serious?"
The man's voice was very cold, but she was stunned. She looked up and saw the man in the back seat walking into her sight with a black umbrella.
She froze and looked at the man in horror. Regardless of the pain in her waist, she shook off the hand of the middle-aged man and stammered, "no, no, no, thanks!"
She turned around and tried to run away, but the pain in her waist tripped her and she fell awkwardly on the wet ground.
When she saw the cruelty in the man's eyes, she felt that his eyes were like a venomous snake, crawling on her back with a tongue.
Simona even didn't dare to pick up the umbrella. She rushed out of the corner in the pouring rain.
Herbert looked at his empty hand and felt a little unbelievable.
He knew that the impact was not light, and the tears of the little girl were hidden in his eyes, which made him feel sorry for her.
Only Simona knew that the pain was nothing compared to the familiar face.
It rained so heavily that she stumbled to run and knocked over several people's umbrellas, but she had no time to apologize.
She was afraid that the man would catch up with her.
The world was too small for them to meet again.
