Chapter 91
William said, "So, according to you, I need to take responsibility, is that right?" William couldn't help but laugh. "Did I order her to kill someone? I haven't even settled accounts with her for hurting Linda."
"William, you can't do this," Joanne protested.
"What have I done?" William pressed. "You are my mother, yet you repeatedly made me misunderstand Linda. You think I won't do anything to you, don't you?
"You are gravely mistaken if you think that. I won't be lenient just because you are my mother. If I expose everything you've done over the years, do you think the already shaky Clay family can pull you out of this?"
William had always been straightforward.
"Mrs. Wilson, I've tolerated you only because you were lucky enough that my father asked me to protect you before he passed. Otherwise, do you think you could live so carefree?"
Joanne couldn't believe what she was hearing. She became hysterical. "You're lying to me! This can't be true. It can't possibly be your father."
