"Fiancée? Do you mean Ida?" William asked, glancing at the reporter's press badge. He then turned to Jay and said, "Let's sue them for spreading rumors."
Jay nodded, feeling a pang of sympathy for the reporter.
William scanned the crowd of reporters and audience. "I want to take this opportunity to clear up some misinformation.
"First, I do not have a fiancée. The reports of my engagement to Ida are completely false, and I will be taking legal action against the publication that spread these lies.
"Second, the rumor that Ida is my childhood savior is also untrue. The person who saved my life back then was my ex-wife, Linda. Ida heard the story and falsely claimed to be my savior before I regained my memory.
"Third, I admit that I was a terrible person. I neglected my loving wife and caused her immense pain numerous times. I am profoundly sorry and will dedicate the rest of my life to making it up to her.
