An Offer

I stood up and smiled at Professor Leo with confusion. "What is that about?" "You got an offer from Costsley University. Wait for the official offer!" Professor Leo patted me on the shoulder. "Pardon? What did you say?" "She must be wild with joy now. Carroll, see you. I am too old to stay up now. Please advise her to apply for my apartment!" The bright smile on the face of Professor Leo made his glasses awry.  Carroll extended his hand and said, "Jason will drive you home." After Professor Leo left, I, confused, grabbed Carroll by the hand and asked, "What did Professor Leo say just now? What offer?" "You got good marks in the exam. Given your quitting school after Grade 9th, Professor Leo considers you a genius. "So he decided to give you an offer as an exception. Now, you may think of your major, and the wait for the new semester." Carroll rubbed my head. However, I was unhappy and looked a bit sad.  I wanted to get an offer from Costsley University by myself, but Carroll helped me.
