Noticing my appearance in the kitchen, Allen hurried over to help me. "We are making the jam, so just wait. Why did you come over?"
Holing his calloused hands, I said softly, "Uncle, something happened in the Brown family, so we will have to leave. It is a pity that we can't taste the jam."
