Two Eggs

Lucille was already hungry. She sat down at the table and started eating. Joseph noticed that there were two eggs on Lucille's plate and not a single one on his. She was clearly trying to get back at him. Lucille snorted lightly and said, "Don't think about it. The eggs are all mine. I won't give any to you." Joseph looked at her and said meaningfully, "I'm already very satisfied that you cooked for me." He began to move his utensils. When he was about to finish all his food, Joseph was stunned. Lucille also saw it. She pretended to be confused and said, "Oh, it must have slipped in." Without waiting for Joseph to reply, she wiped her mouth and got up, saying, "You should clean up.
