Coaxing a Child

Obviously, Lucille had learned her lesson after what happened last time. She knew what Madam Collins was thinking. At first, she didn't want to agree, but when she heard Madam Collins' gentle tone that sounded as if she was coaxing a child, Lucille didn't have the heart to refuse. Madam Collins was overjoyed.
