Arrogance and Cruelty
Tears were falling from Jenny's eyes, one by one.
At that moment, she could not help but ponder. If she had not been so arrogant and rash before, would things have turned out differently now?

Dragging her exhausted and injured body, Jenny slowly moved toward her rented apartment. Suddenly, a car whirred past her just an inch away.
The rain was pouring. The driver had not noticed someone on the road until his headlights briefly lit her up on the pedestrian crossing.
The headlights illuminated the area and showcased Jenny's shocked, frightened expression.
"Bang!"
The small truck drove past her, and Jenny was thrown into the air like a broken ragdoll. After flying mid-air, she fell harshly and rolled several times on the ground.
Blood was splattered everywhere. With the rain washing it away, the crimson fluid was gradually dispersed by the water flow.
With a screeching halt, the sound of the brakes grating pierced the rain-soaked night.
