Chapter 5: Can You Please Stop Asking So Many Questions?
Olivia was truly on the verge of exploding in anger.
And she finally understood one thing.
"I understand now." Olivia clenched her fists. "It's because my cousin is about to get married, right?"
Freddy remained silent.
"So, it was my uncle who had ten percent of the company's shares that disappeared?" Finally, Olivia understood everything tonight. "I thought he gave me the company because he regained his conscience, but it turns out he had already figured out that Julia was unreliable. That's why he entrusted the company to me. He knew that I would listen to him and bring them into my home, and later on, give the company back to my uncle, right?" Olivia gritted her teeth. "I won't agree to this!"
"Olivia, I know you feel resentful," reminded Freddy. "But what I want to say is that this will is related to your origin."
"What did you say?" Olivia was puzzled. "Related to my origin? Are you saying I'm not the biological child of my parents?"
"I'm not sure about that either, but your father explained it this way, and I believe he wasn't lying," Freddy added.
Olivia clenched her teeth. "I am not sure whether the will is true or not. Yet, I have to bring the people I despise the most to my home. I really can't bear it!"
"I understand," Freddy consoled, "but Olivia, you need to know your purpose. In fact, these people are actually quite easy to deal with."
Olivia was extremely distressed.
She didn't expect that even her father, who was already dead, would set such a big trap for her.
At the thought of this, her head throbbed and she felt woozy. Her body leaned forward slightly.
"Be careful!" Freddy supported her, placing his hands on her slender shoulders. His deep gaze was filled with concern. "Are you alright?"
"I haven't eaten anything all day," Olivia said bitterly. "I might have low blood sugar."
"You haven't eaten anything all day, yet you still dare to drink?" Freddy was very angry. "Why don't you take care of yourself? Do you know I am..."
Olivia waited for him to finish his sentence.
To her surprise, before Freddy could finish his sentence, a tall and cold figure fell upon the two of them.
Olivia was startled, her delicate face pale with a hint of fear.
She didn't know what she was afraid of. Perhaps Chace wore an extremely cold expression.
"I..." Olivia murmured softly.
Chace reached out and pulled her to his side.
Freddy frowned. "Mr. Baker?"
"I will take care of her," Chace said coldly, resembling a fierce beast.
"Mr. Baker, you and Olivia aren't related, are you?" Freddy asked solemnly.
"None of your business!" Chace felt an unknown annoyance rising in his heart, and he directly carried Olivia horizontally.
"Put me down!" Olivia's voice was soft and weak, she was really uncomfortable.
If this scene was seen, people might gossip about it.
"Don't talk nonsense," Chace angrily said. "Or I'll kiss you right here!"
"You!" Olivia was completely speechless.
She glanced worriedly at Freddy.
And Freddy looked at her with a complex expression.
"Mr. Frazier, I understand what you're saying, and I will think about it," said Olivia.
"Good." Freddy nodded slowly.
Chace took her away while holding her.
They left through the back door of the Conley residence.
No one saw them.
Finally, Chace threw her into the Maybach, then got into the car and slammed the door shut.
"Olivia, how dare you seduce another man in front of me! You've got a lot of nerve." Chace's eyes were fierce and cold.
Olivia leaned against the seat. "I don't mind you thinking I'm despicable, but Mr. Frazier is not that kind of person."
"Men are all the same." Chace sized her up. "What do you think he likes about you? Your status or your talent? Neither of them. He likes your looks and figure."
Olivia retorted coolly, "So do you."
Chace coldly replied, "If you want me to appreciate your talent, you should show me your true strength instead of seducing men in front of me."
"It's only been a day since we signed the contract. What true strength do you want me to show?" Olivia was angry. "Can you build a skyscraper overnight?"
"I can." Chace glanced at her. "Do you want to witness it?"
Olivia was speechless.
She had a headache.
Gina, sitting in the driver's seat, cautiously spoke up, "Mr. Baker, I think Miss Hampton might be experiencing low blood sugar. Maybe we should give her something to eat?"
Low blood sugar?
Olivia gratefully looked at Gina.
Finally, someone noticed something was wrong with her.
"How did you have low blood sugar?" Chace frowned.
"I didn't ... eat ... anything," Olivia weakly replied, grinding her teeth. "Not even a single meal the whole day!"
Chace narrowed his eyes. "So you did not flirt with him but was about to faint?"
"Yes!" Olivia's eyes closed. "Give me some food. I'm really going to die. If I die, I'll become a ghost... Hmm!"
Chace covered her rosy lips with his large hand. "Gina, let's go."
"Okay." Gina started the car and handed a piece of candy to Chace. "Mr. Baker, please give this to Miss Hampton to eat."
Chace took it and then handed it to Olivia.
Olivia stared at him with her watery eyes.
Chace raised the candy for a while.
"Are you going to eat it or not?" he impatiently asked.
"I really want you to try it. Go a day without eating and see if you can still open a packet!" Olivia was about to be driven crazy by him.
"Sorry. I can go three days without eating or sleeping." Chace tore open the packet and brought the candy to Olivia's mouth.
Olivia opened her mouth, as if an adorable yet angry kitten, and ate the candy.
As the candy entered her mouth, the sweet taste exploded on her tongue. She squinted her eyes, appearing somewhat enchanting.
"What do you do for three days without eating or drinking? Are you fasting?" Olivia asked curiously.
"That's none of your business." Chace looked at her rosy lips and turned his head.
In the dim car, Olivia didn't notice that Chace's ears had turned red.
They arrived at the restaurant.
In an instant, Olivia relied on Gina.
Although Gina was Chace's assistant, she was a woman.
She smiled and said, "Miss Randall, can you help me?"
She didn't want to be supported by Chace.
Gina felt awkward.
Chace pulled Olivia over and said to Gina, "Go make arrangements."
"Okay." Gina straightened up and walked in.
Olivia was puzzled. "What is she arranging?"
"A private room and sterilization," Chace sounded indifferent. "Can you stop asking so many questions? You kept talking since we got in the car. Do you really have low blood sugar?"
Olivia's lips twitched slightly. "Oh really? Should I show you a live demonstration of swallowing a cow later to prove it?"
