"How did you know?" Nora asked through clenched teeth.
"That's why I said you had to do good deeds," Olivia sarcastically remarked. "Seventy years ago, Madam Doyle's grandmother came to Cerared and got lost. It was my grandmother who saved her. The two of them then became friends. Later, when Madam Doyle's grandmother had to go back to fulfill her engagement, she wanted to give money to my grandmother as a token of gratitude. However, my grandmother declined, knowing that it would ruin their friendship. But Madam Doyle's grandmother promised my grandmother that in the future, my grandmother or her descendants could make a request, and Madam Doyle's grandmother and her descendants must agree to it."
