Harvey's words made Loid feel like his efforts over the past two days were worth it. Even though Harvey wasn't very fond of him, he wasn't fond of anyone else either. That made Loid feel relaxed. A long time passed before he finally replied, "I crossed the line. I'm sorry." After a pause, he added, "Lily is like a younger sister to me. We're very open with each other, so I forgot to mind my manners for a moment. I hope you don't mind." Loid narrowed his eyes, and an icy glint flashed across his eyes. He plainly stated, "Of course. You're a guest, so I won't hold it against you." Matthias looked at him and smiled without replying. "If you want to make home-cooked food, let's just eat at home, then." Loid turned to Harvey. "I can take the chance to get some groceries and make some soup for you, Mr. Brooks. It'll help you recuperate."
