Loid's fondness for Lily was clear.
Out of respect for Loid, Winston would naturally treat anyone Loid held dear with the utmost importance.
As they left the hospital, the sun had already set.
Shaun excitedly announced there was a new restaurant in the city center that just opened and insisted they try it out. Since Lily was new to Lagersfield and Loid hadn't taken her out for a proper meal yet, Loid readily agreed to join.
As soon as Lily got into the car, she slouched against the window, looking tired and disinterested. Her eyes were downcast, and she seemed to be in a low mood.
Loid looked at Lily. Her usual confident and assertive demeanor had faded since leaving the hospital, replaced by a noticeable sense of desolation that tugged at his heartstrings. He wondered if she was worried about Belinda's illness.
With a gentle pat on Lily's shoulder, Loid said in a calming voice, "Don't worry. I won't let the supply of the special antidote run out."
Lily lifted her gaze slightly
