Tilly patted its head. "Don't look at me like that. Blame your owner for being a terrible person! I can't go after Grandpa Neal, so you're the next best thing. If you ever die, remember—don't reincarnate as his dog again."
The dog was utterly baffled. What kind of twisted logic was that? Who even thought that far ahead about reincarnation? More importantly, she had shaved it bald. How was it supposed to face other dogs now?
Tilly crouched down, her gaze locking onto the dog's eyes. "Tell me, is Grandpa Neal home?"
