Nash took a deep breath and opened his eyes tiredly.
“How long was I gone this time?” Nash asked Talroth, who was beside him.
“Five hours. Where did you go?”
“I don’t know. I don’t know where that place was. I just followed my instincts and walked. I seemed to have met an old acquaintance of mine from many years ago, but I couldn’t see his face.”
“Really? That old acquaintance must be very important to you.”
“I can’t remember.” Nash shook his head.
“I see. Then... let’s try again tomorrow,” Talroth suggested. “That person you saw might be the root of your bottleneck. You might discover something next time!”
“Maybe,” Nash’s eyes were vacant as he replied. The tension he had felt when he first arrived was gone. Now, he was comfortable, and facing everything about himself brought him peace. However, he was being asked to confront the things he had struggled to forget and those he had long forgotten.
