Chapter Thirty-Nine - Willow
Punch. Kick. Punch, kick.
The poor boxing dummy in my room was getting a beating today. All the built-up frustration inside of me leaked out like a punctured balloon.
After Chase told me that the Alpha King wouldn’t tell him anything, I felt my hope dwindle a bit. I didn’t understand how the Alpha King could be afraid of rogues. Maybe it meant they were meaner than I realized, or he was just afraid to lose his position.
Either way, it sucked.
Chase ate lunch with me and then went up to his office to catch up with Keith. Since I had nowhere else to train, I came up to my room and took out my frustration on my dummy.
It’d been over an hour when I finally crashed onto my bed with a giant huff. I was sweaty and gross, but I couldn’t move from the intensity of that hour.
It felt as bad as my heat, almost.
Stripping from my clothes, I walked into the bathroom and started my shower. The water turned warm quickly after I stepped underneath it.
